Scones are an integral part of British and Irish cuisine, often associated with afternoon tea. They carry a sense of tradition and nostalgia, which adds to their appeal. Scones are often enjoyed with accompaniments like clotted cream, butter, jam, or honey. They can also be paired with tea or coffee, making them a versatile choice for breakfast, brunch, or a snack. Scones have a unique texture that is both crumbly and tender. When made correctly, they have a light, flaky exterior with a soft interior.
Scones are relatively simple to make, requiring basic baking ingredients and minimal equipment. They don’t need yeast, so there’s no rising time, making them quicker to prepare than some other baked goods. I hope you enjoy this orange scone recipe! Share your pictures @familyfocusblog!
