I recently wrote a post about putting mom in the family photos. It is so easy for us as mothers to get busy documenting every moment of our beloved child’s life that we forget to put mom in the photo too! Don’t make excuses about being busy or wait until you lose a few pounds. Your child loves you just the way you are. We should make it a priority to have ourselves in the family photos because our little ones will treasure those memories when they grow up. I think it also offers our children a more whole family picture (no, the universe doesn’t actually revolve around them)! So as this mother’s day approaches, do yourself and your kids and husband a favor and put yourself in the photos too! One way to preserve your photos is with same day photo books.
I’m proud to partner with CVS Pharmacy for the Put Mom In The Photo campaign. I am being sponsored by CVS Pharmacy for my posts and activities, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
Preserve Those Special Memories With Same Day Photo Books
CVS Photo makes it easy to preserve those special family memories. Whether it’s through a photo canvas for your wall, a photo book, a photo calendar, or photo prints so you can do you own diy photo projects, they make it convenient and easy with onlineand in store services. They even offer many same day photo printing products at no extra cost!
I love to do an annual family photo album and I haven’t done one yet so I decided to test out CVS Photo Books. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have some options for same day photo books! Wow. I found that to be a pretty impressive service and at no extra fee. They have single-sided and double-sided same day photo books.
I went online to cvs.com/photo so that I could upload my photos from my laptop while I multi tasked around the house. Then I was able to create and personalize my photo book in so many different ways. I picked a cute photo of my kids for the cover and then I chose a fun theme. You can chose from all kinds of themes to commemorate a vacation or a day or a more general theme that will work for a variety of photos.
Next, I was able auto fill the photo album and then go back and rearrange and photos I didn’t think belonged together. I found it easy to delete some choices and fill with new choices. I even found it easy to upload a few extra photos mid project and add those in to fill a few spots. I ended up using 46 photos for my photo book theme and that caused me to add a few extra pages into the book. The same day photo books start at $19.99 for double-sided and come with 20 pages included. Then you can add in 2 additional pages $1.99 each set.
The tools for making the photo book were very easy to use and intuitive. They are all lined up on the left side of the web page. “Photos” lets you move photos around. “Layouts” lets you choose how many photos to a page. Designs lets you pick a theme, by the way, they have one called “Amazing Mom”. Just saying! “Backgrounds” lets you change backgrounds out if you have a least or most favorite. “Embellishment” lets you chose cute stickers. “Text”, lets you add text. I love being able to personalize the photo book with my own commentary and photo captions.
The end result is a personalized photo book that I will always cherish. I also have to mention that the photo book was so much thinner than the photo albums I usually make and I just love space savers. I was amazed that you could get such a personalized product in same day photo books! CVS Photo is an easy and convenient service for preserving those special memories. Just visit cvs.com/photo or go into your local store.
How will you preserve your family photos? Will you put mom in the photos? Will you do same day photo prints for a fun creative diy project? A simple but cute frame (like the one below that my husband gave me a few Mother’s Days ago)? Or do you think you will try one of these same day photo books like I did? I hope you have a fabulous Mother’s Day!
