My family and I just got back from an awesome trip to Florida a few days ago. We got to stop in Orlando on the way back and we spent a day at Sea World! I wish we could have spent a second day there it was so much fun and there was so much to see (plus the second visit is free right now so it makes the trip so much more cost effective!) My kids are 4 and 6 and absolutely loved it. Sea World Orlando has all the amazing sea creatures you would expect to see, amazing animal shows, huge rollercoasters, and kids rides! Sea World will keep the whole family totally entertained!
Two of my favorite things were the One Ocean Killer Whale Show and the Otter and Sea Lion Show. They were absolutely amazing! The killer whales are just so big and spectacular and it is amazing to watch them leap out of the water and create huge splashes! They amazed us even more by sliding up onto a viewing area. They are so enormous and yet they respond to their trainers and do astounding tricks. That show is really an amazing lifetime experience that you would never otherwise get to witness.
The Otter and Sea Lion show was just as impactful although it was more comical! First while the stadium seating is filling up a mime came out and made the whole audience laugh continuously. He was really fun and the kids were had their eyes glued to his every move. Then the Sea Lions showed up and it was really spectacular to watch these big creatures acting along with the people actors and being so agile on land. At one point one of the big sea lions stood up next to his trainer and leaned on the wall of the tank next to him and I couldn’t help but realized how similar their body structure really is to ours! It was great fun to watch and it made me want to be a sea lion trainer- those lucky ducks! Oh, and there was a walrus at the end- Wow, walruses are so big!
Shamu’s Happy Harbor was another favorite spot in the park for us. It was packed with great stuff to entertain the kids. They even had fun, family rides. My kids LOVED the Shamu Express Roller Coaster, at 4, my son was just tall enough to ride it. My husband and I got to ride with them and it was a perfect roller coaster for me too as my stomach can’t take too much more! They also had an amazing Net Climb! These four-story nets link together through a series of winding tunnels and slippery slides!
SeaWorld Orlando was really amazing with tons of shows, rides, and exhibits! Certainly worth the trip for you and your kids!
I did use media passes for park entry. I did not receive monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own.
