Ladies, let’s get personal and talk about cellulite. That nasty, pesky, stuff that seems to always appear in the worst locations like your thighs and butt. I bet you are wondering how to get rid of cellulite. Well, here are some tricks and tips to get rid of cellulite at home (or at least diminish the appearance of it).
First of all, I’m going to go on the record and say, I wish our perception of cellulite was like that of moles or freckles, rather than a taboo. I say this because 9/10 women have cellulite and having cellulite doesn’t mean you are fat even though many women feel like it does- even the skinniest of women have it. But since our perception of cellulite isn’t a positive one, it is only natural for those of us who have it, to want it to disappear! Well, unfortunately I have bad news for you–According to most researchers and doctors, it is near impossible to get rid of cellulite indefinitely.
So, what can we do? Fear not, we can at the very least diminish the appearance of cellulite! There are several ways to diminish cellulite, and when you combine a few of these, your cellulite will vanish before your eyes (while it may still be there, it definitely won’t be as noticeable, which hey, is the main point).
How To Get Rid Of Cellulite At Home- Tips & Tricks To Diminish Cellulite
Tan
Whether you use a skin product, the sun, or go to a tanning bed/spray tan, being tan will distract your eye from seeing the cellulite. Trust me, I was shocked by just how much my cellulite looked diminished just by being a few shades tanner.
Use Body Scrubs
Using body scrubs in a circular motion helps activate the tissue and will get the blood flowing to that area of your skin (massaging the area improves blood flow and gets rid of the excess fluid which will make the dimples less noticeable), this will help diminish cellulite appearance. So, while you are in the shower whip out your favorite cellulite scrub and get the blood flowing! We’ve compiled three of our favorites that are specially formulated for cellulite & can be made from ingredients found at your home! Products that contain caffeine are especially great for cellulite because they help to quickly tighten the skin!

Fitness
I’m sure you’ve probably heard this one before but stimulating the blood, muscles, and fat deposits that create cellulite will help diminish cellulite. So, what do you say to a jog later? I know this solution to get rid of cellulite at home requires work but it pays off in more than just looks but also in improved fitness and health!
Drop The Cigs
Smoking impacts the blood supply to your skin which makes the skin thinner and more likely to sag hence making the cellulite on your arms, thighs, and bottom much more visible.
Retinol Cream
As I mentioned before, there isn’t going to be a cream that cures your cellulite, but retinol thickens the skin, which will improve the look of your skin and texture. This will help to cover the bumpy areas underneath that are causing the cellulite.
Support Stockings
We’ve all heard of Spanx. Well, support stockings are just that but they help to smooth your cellulite. Support stockings or compression stockings help the cellulite from building up and storing excess fluid, eliminating the excess fluid will make the cellulite appear smoother and less noticeable. After all isn’t that what we’re all after?
Save Up & Zap Away
Celllulaze is one of the few cellulite treatments that have shown promise. However, it requires a professional and is a on the pricey side. A laser is slipped under the skin to shrink the fat cells, cut the tough bands that caused the dimpling, and stimulate thicker skin. The FDA approves Cellulaze and the company boasts the results last as along as a year or longer but the long-term effects are not known. Ask your doctor for guidance. This is not at at home treatment but I mentioned it anyway since it is the most effective option I researched.
Do you have any tricks or tips you’d like to share that have helped get rid of cellulite at home? What’s your opinion of cellulite, do you think it should be less worried about and see more like moles and freckles are, or do you think our perception of cellulite is a good one? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
