Sleep Number Reviews
I was super excited to try Sleep Number because a good night’s sleep is so important. Our old mattress was about 10 years old and though I still liked it, I was beginning to feel that it was getting a little too soft. The Sleep Number® m7 bed appealed to me for two big reasons- the Memory Foam Mattress and the DualAir™ Technology. I love that the bed can be adjusted on each side to the perfect comfort level.
Once you select a Sleep Number Mattress, it makes sense to get the Sleep Number base to provide your new mattress with a firm level surface and ensure it works at its best. So that is exactly what I did!
Sleep Number m7 Review:
At Sleep Number, they are individualizing sleep experiences. This is pretty common sense genius, if you ask me! There are so many couples sleeping on beds that offer the no individualization and yet most often the partners are different sizes with different sleeping comfort needs. My husband is almost twice as big as me so it stands to reason that we have different needs when it comes to a bed. I love that Sleep Number allows you to find just the right setting for your half of the bed with a simple push of the button.
First I went to the SleepNumber.com website and look at the various Sleep Number models. Then, I selected the bed that I thought was the perfect fit for me- the queen size Sleep Number m7.

I am sure you can see why I picked it, right? Next I went to my local Sleep Number store and tried the bed out to just make sure it felt comfy. While I was there, they helped my husband and I find our perfect sleep number by putting on a sleep number bed that uses exclusive IndividualFitSM 3-D Imaging to find your perfect Sleep Number. Mine was a 35 and his is a 45.
Sleep Number beds give sleepers total control over their sleep experience because the bed allows them to easily adjust their side to their Sleep Number setting – a number between 0 and 100. At the touch of a button, sleepers can increase or decrease their Sleep Number setting to achieve the exact level of comfort, firmness and support that’s ideal for them.
So the m7 has all the dual adjustability I mentioned. It also has the responsive air technology which provides contouring support for pressure-relieving comfort. On top of this the m7 is only Sleep number mattress with cooling memory foam. This was important to me because memory foam just makes for such a soft, cushy feeling bed. I love it!
360 m7 Smart Bed
2021 m7 Update: The newer m7 Sleep Number mattresses are called SLEEP NUMBER 360® m7 SMART BED. They offer all the same great features. The biggest differences are added new technology. The Sleep Number 360 Smart Bed series now uses proprietary sensors to help analyze how well you are sleeping. You can use the accompanying smartphone app as a sleep tracker.
Sleep Number puts it this way, “Quality sleep is the foundation of health and wellness and is known to restore energy, promote recovery, help boost wellbeing and impact brain function. That’s why we created the Sleep Number 360® smart bed”. It senses your movements and body stats like heart rate and automatically adjusts firmness, comfort and support so you stay effortlessly comfortable! They also point out that “Sleepers who routinely use their Sleep Number 360® smart bed features and SleepIQ® technology get almost 100 hours more proven quality sleep per year.”
While I don’t have this smart bed update, I can tell you that all these years later, I still love my original Sleep Number m7 with the memory foam layer. I seriously miss it every time I stay at a hotel. I am always glad to get back to my own bed with adjustable firmness just for me on my side and just right for my hubby on his side. It always provides a good night’s sleep. I also like being able to use my remote control to adjust mattress firmness when I so desire.
Delivery And m7 Sleep Number Bed Assembly
After we placed the order, we waited for the delivery team to call and set up delivery. When the designated delivery date arrived, two Sleep Number Installation Specialist came and set up my bed. They were both very professional and friendly. My kids loved watching the set up. The Sleep Number men set it up very quickly and then they took the time to explain how it worked and answer my questions. I give those two guys 10 out of 10 for my level of satisfaction with delivery.
Sleep Number Base Review
I got the modular base but you can also chose an adjustable base for even more luxury. The delivery men handled the set up and even showed my son just how the assembly of the bed frame worked!
I got the ® Modular Base with Modular Base Legs. It allows for under-the-bed storage. The base itself is encased by a Sleep Number cover so that it looks just like a regular box spring but is much more supportive.
They also have headboard and/or footboard brackets that you can use to attach your headboard securely to the modular base- something I missed when I placed the order so make sure you order those if you need them!When you are in your shopping cart, they are down below under “You may also like”.
Before I got to sleep on the bed myself, my cat tested the Sleep Number m7 out for me! My cat normally never sleeps on my bed by himself but I found him totally zonked out and looking quite pleased before I even got to put the sheets on it!
For me, the comfort was instant. I dig the Sleep Number m7 and my kids love it too! They are always snuggling up on it for story time or ipad time. For my husband, it took him a couple of nights to get used to it but once he got the hang of using the wireless remote to set it just right for him, he quite likes it as well. By using uniquely designed air-chamber technology, the Sleep Number bed provides an adjustable, gentle cushion of support. Plus, we each get to find our precise comfort level. That just makes sense to me.
A good nights sleep allows you to stay in the deepest stages of sleep longer, so you awake more energized and rejuvenated. I like that. If you want someone’s word other than mine, clinical studies show that the Sleep Number bed relieves back pain and improves sleep quality.

Word of Advice: The sales lady told us that to maintain the performance of memory foam mattresses they should always be covered with a waterproof mattress pad.

Wonderful review. This can really help people make up their mind in purchasing the m7 sleep number bed. I personally like its features. Looks like you can really sleep comfortably on that bed. Besides, there is no greater feeling than having a good night’s sleep to be energized and ready for the next day’s activity.
