Valentine’s Day Table Decor Ideas:
Here are some ideas to help you create a stunning Valentine’s Day table decor:
- Color Scheme: Choose a color scheme that evokes romance. Traditional Valentine’s Day colors include shades of red, pink, white, and gold. You can also incorporate accents of silver or deep purple for a more modern twist.
- Tablecloth and Runner: Start by laying down a tablecloth in a solid color or a subtle pattern that complements your color scheme. Add a table runner in a contrasting color or a delicate lace fabric to add texture and visual interest.
- Centerpiece: Create a focal point for your table with a romantic centerpiece. We will be providing the step-by-step instructions for making your very own centerpiece in the next part of this article. It will be a pretty floral inspired centerpiece with a glass candle holder and pillar candle at the center. A Candle will add warmth and intimacy to your table decor with a soft, romantic glow.
- Place Settings: Set the table with elegant dinnerware, including plates, glasses, and silverware. Consider using special dishes or flatware reserved for special occasions like Valentine’s Day. You can tie satin ribbons around the napkins or add personalized name cards for an extra touch of sophistication.
- Table Decorations: Sprinkle heart-shaped confetti or rose petals around the table for a whimsical touch. You can also incorporate other Valentine’s Day-themed decorations like heart-shaped balloons, garlands, or small figurines.

All of these simple craft supplies can be purchased at your local craft store or dollar store.
Craft Supplies:
- Small grapevine wreath
- Red or pink flowers
- Crystals
- Candle holder
- Candle
- Glue gun
How To Make A Table Centerpiece For Valentine’s Day:
- Cut the flowers off of the stem. Make sure you leave some stem to stick into the wreath.
- Using the glue gun put some glue on the ends of the flower stems and stick them into the wreath. Place the flowers going in the same direction.
- The crystals I found were just like the flowers. They should be connected to a wire stem. Do the same and cut them off of the main stem. You may need wire cutters.
- Again use the glue gun and glue the crystal stems into the wreath. Go in the same direction as the flowers.
- Place the candle holder in the center of the wreath and the candle inside the holder.
- Light the candle and enjoy a candle lit Valentine’s Day dinner!
The Valentine’s Day centerpiece is also perfect DIY decoration for Valentine’s Day parties. Do you plan to throw a party, have a romantic dinner for two, or celebrate with the kids? Any way around it, Valentine’s Day is great time to remember all those we love and show them how much we appreciate having them in our lives.
Conclusion
Set the mood with soft lighting and background music. Dim the overhead lights and opt for soft, ambient lighting from candles or string lights. Choose romantic music or create a playlist of your favorite songs to play in the background. You may even want to add extra personal touches to your table decor to make it feel more special. Write love notes to each other and place them under the dinner plates or scatter them around the table. You could also include small gifts or favors for your partner to discover throughout the meal.
