Once you have your ideas for New Year’s party themes, you may realize you need some fun New Year’s crafts for kids to enjoy as well. I must admit that in previous years I have been a slacker in preparing fun activities for the New Year. This year, I am resolving to do better so I am collecting 10 fun New Year’s crafts for kids right here for your family enjoyment as well.
This year I plan to employ a fun activity (baking, reading, playing a game) , craft (New Year’s crafts below), or small gift (coloring book or story book) for each hour before the New Year. The countdown will be made even more fun by adding the element of surprise and having a sealed bag for each hour of the countdown. If the New Year’s Eve surprise for that hour is an activity, I will just have a fun riddle or clue inside. If the New Year’s Eve surprise for that hour is a craft, I will include the crafting materials in the bag. If the New Year’s Eve surprise for that hour is a small gift, the bag will contain the gift or a clue to where to find the gift. (You can start the New Year’s bags for kids at whatever time you like and do them every hour or every two hours- what ever floats your boat!)
