I remember when it was my daughter’s first Easter. I thought it would be so cute to stick her in the big Easter basket with Easter eggs around her and take an adorable picture! She, however, hated the idea and began crying immediately. So here are some easter basket ideas for babies to help you make a success out of your baby’s first Easter!

1. Board Books

I believe in reading to babies and I think it helps start their life long interest in reading and learning. There are tons of great board books and I suggest getting some with fun rhythms so they can enjoy the sound of the words even before they know what they mean. If you need some ideas, try this great list of 25 board books for babies at Parenting. In addition, “Way Out in the Desert” by Marsh and Ward was a big favorite in my house. “Pat the Bunny” is a classic that is perfectly on theme for baby’s first Easter as well.

2. Tiny Love Crinkly Bunny Activity Toy

The Tiny Love Crinkly Bunny Activity Toy is with the bunny theme and right up baby’s alley for comfort and play. It has an attachment hook so you can clip it to the stroller or car seat to keep baby entertained.

3. Baby Bibs

You can never have too many baby bibs. Especially soft cotton cute ones that say things like “Gramma’s Little Bunny” or have spring chicks on them!

4. Baby Basics

Baby basics with fun spring themes are always useful and cute- like diaper wipes in spring packaging or organic carrot baby foods. Or cute little onesies with Peter Rabbit on them.

5. A Soft Lovey

A soft plush lovey like a chick or bunny or a special blanket just might end up being the one that baby develops that special comfort bond with!

That bib is so cute. You know at 7 1/2 years old the boys still like to get stuffed rabbits.
