5 Tips For Parents On How To Monitor Kids Cell Phone Activity

Technology has made it possible for kids to have easy access to the internet, multimedia, messaging, gaming, and downloads through their Smartphone. This lets them communicate and search for anything they need in an instant. Moreover, this allows them to download music, videos, and anything they desire. However, there is also a disadvantage in terms of cyber bullying and inappropriate behavior. For this reason, parents want to monitor the Smartphone activities of their kids.

How To Monitor Child’s Cell Phone Use

If the idea of monitoring your child’s cell phone activity strikes you as weird, consider that according to USA Today, “your employer has a legal right to monitor your email and desk-phone use at work…A keylogger on your [company issued] smartphone could be recording and reporting everything you do.” Since your employer is liable for your actions, they may want to know what you are up to. I guess the same applies with kids. A little weird but you may want to do a little monitoring to know what your kids are really up to.

Find a reputable company that is known in monitoring mobile phones.

You should choose a company that will make an honest evaluation of what you want and will try to find a product that meets your preference. Just make sure that you are dealing with a reputable company that offers genuine products. I did a review on a great company call Bark which helps provide this service.

Choose appropriate spy software.

To know if your kids are sending and receiving inappropriate text messages or performing inappropriate activities on their Smartphone, you can verify this by means of a Smartphone Monitoring Software like Mobile Spy.

This is easy to use. You just have to set it up on the kid’s phone, which you want to monitor. When you login a particular website, you will be able to view all the phone’s activities including text messages, emails, and websites, which have been visited. Best of all, you can see the data from anywhere across the globe.

Even if your kid erases the data, these can still be tracked. There will still be a record of these since the software does not make use of the phone’s messages and calls to log activities.

Track cell phone location.

You can track the routes taken by your child during the day by means of a cell phone tracking software like Stealth Genie. To do this, you just need to login using your email and password. Then, you will see the GPS tracking details of the monitored cell phone.

Set limitations on the phone’s use.

You can do these with any of the monitoring programs set for all kinds of Smart phones. Parents will be able to limit the quantity of text messages; block certain phone numbers; block downloads; and institute time restrictions.

Use computer apps to check websites visited by your child.

There are computer applications that allow you to see the sites that your child is visiting and know how often.

Cell Phone Monitoring Conclusion

I hope you found these tips for Cell Phone Monitoring for parents useful. With the latest technology, parents are able to monitor not only their children’s whereabouts but their cell phone activities so that they are not kept in the dark as to what their children are up to these days.

I hear ya…give the kids their privacy. My child is only 14 months…but my gut says monitor. It is kinda scary out there in the big world and there are creepers especially since it is so anonymous.
    Great post btw:)
