You can roll baby towels, baby blankets, and baby onesies to look like roses and arrange those around the wooden baby toys or baby board books. Then tie a bow or decorations on top and it is all set.
Baby Toys
Personalized and/or wooden baby toys make a fantastic gift. I remember when I made my registry, I didn’t think far enough ahead for toys but a few nice quality wooden ones can be so meaningful when they reach that stage and you have a few special ones handy. There is something about natural wooden products make them so much more appealing to children and grown ups alike. My daughter still has a stuffed animal she received as a baby shower gift.
Hooded Baby Towel
This one is sure to be a winner! I loved the hooded baby towels for keeping my baby’s head warm and dry but because they make such cute fun varieties that just look adorable and make for cute photos. The fancier toddler ones have paws and such as well. My 5 year old is still having a hard time giving his up (it was a froggie hooded towel from the Pottery Barn).
Baby Board Books
Baby Board books are another item that may not be on their registry but they will be glad they got. I loved reading to my babies and they seemed to enjoy the rhythm and sound of reading too way before they could speak. My daughter would stop crying and listen to “Way Out in the Desert” board book and my son loved the ones by Usborne with the tactile pages.
Soft Sole Baby Shoes
This is another item that I never even thought of while registering but which is so wonderful for babies. This soft sole slip on shoes with elastic around the back help keep baby warm and protected but as comfortable as bare feet. Robeez makes good quality ones that last. My kids both loved these and I did too!

Baby blankets are always a home run when it comes to baby showers. You really can’t have too many as babies have many ways of making you reach for a fresh one. A crochet baby blanket that is made entirely of natural materials and would make a very special gift for a new baby. My sister still has the one my mom knitted for her.
