DripDrop Review- An Effective Hydration Solution

This post is sponsored by DripDrop, a hydration solution that is changing the way we keep ourselves—and our little ones—hydrated all year round.  All opinions expressed are my own.

The Importance of Staying Hydrated

DripDrop hydration solution

We all know how important it is to stay hydrated.  After all, water is key to life- it helps your body function at its best and it helps your skin stay smooth and soft.  It is also essential that our bodies have adequate electrolytes to support on-going hydration throughout the day. Dehydration is caused when our bodies lose fluid AND electrolytes. DripDrop delivers electrolytes which are salts and minerals that regulate fluid balance and are essential to almost every major biochemical reaction in our bodies.

I am prone to dehydration.  I get busy and I forget to drink as much water as I should.  Furthermore, I am also sensitive to HVAC heating.  During the winter months, the dry air from our home heaters always leaves my skin feeling dry. My husband is always reminding me to drink more. Even losing 1.5% of fluids can lead to a drop in physical performance, cognitive ability and mood.  That is why proper hydration is important to everyone, not just athletes, but everyone- even people with desk jobs and kids!

Causes Of Dehydration

Well-known causes of dehydration include exercise, extreme (hot or cold) climates, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. Other causes of fluid loss may include air travel, taking prescription drugs or supplements, carbohydrate-free diets, menstruation, pregnancy, and many others. It’s no wonder that 75% of Americans get moderately dehydrated daily!

Review of DripDrop Electrolyte Powder That Provides Fast Hydration

DripDrop review

DripDrop is a medical grade, oral rehydration solution (ORS) that you can mix easily with water at home or on the go.  DripDrop is loaded with electrolytes – including sodium, sugars and potassium. These electrolytes promote good hydration, enabling your body to absorb water more quickly into the bloodstream and promote greater fluid retention.  It comes in small pouches of powder that you can easily carry with you in your purse or pocket or keep stashed in the desk, car or your workout bag.  DripDrop provides a simple, cost-effective solution that empowers everyone to prevent and treat mild to moderate dehydration.  The best part- it is easy!  This oral rehydration solution recipe is to simply mix with water and drink.

DripDrop was formulated by a family physician who was tired of prescribing poor-tasting pediatric beverages to his patients. DripDrop comes in two flavors that pack a powerful punch of hydration- lemon and berry.  My son and I tested them both and we approve.  You just mix one DripDrop pouch with about half a liter of water and drink.  I put it in a water bottle and kept it on my table while I was working.  I also had the good fortune of having some DripDrop handy on New Year’s Day when I was in definite need of rehydration.

You can drink DripDrop safely to proactively prevent dehydration. Additionally, you can use it to reverse fluid loses following an illness, a workout, or any vigorous activity just to stay hydrated.  You can buy DripDrop at CVS, Walgreen, amazon, and more.  You can read more about it at dripdrop.com

A Safety Note About Oral Rehydration Solutions:

DripDrop does not recommend home-made oral rehydration salts.

DripDrop ORS is an ORS (oral rehydration solution) used for oral rehydration therapy (ORT). It contains the medically relevant sodium electrolyte levels and lower glucose content required in an ORS, in a low osmolarity formula that facilitates fast absorption. In other words, don’t mess around. Get the the good stuff.

Please keep in mind that an ORS also cannot treat or address diarrhoeal disease. If you have medical concern please consult with your healthcare practitioner for help right away.

DripDrop is scientifically proven to enable fast, effective fluid absorption and retention. It feels great to have it on hand. Have you tried DripDrop yet? It is available in 4 flavors? What is your favorite?
