Switching To Natural Deodorant and Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant Review

My mother always told me it was good to sweat because sweat helps remove waste and toxins. Furthermore, that is important to long-term health and wellness. That is why I choose to use a natural deodorant for odor protection, but one without antiperspirant. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tom’s of Maine for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant Review

I find that a natural deodorant, like Tom’s of Maine Deodorant, is perfectly effective in preventing odor when I sweat. It is a deodorant (anti-odor) not an antiperspirant (anti-sweat), thus it does not protect against wetness. Tom’s of Maine deodorant uses no aluminum, no petrochemicals, no parabens, and no artificial fragrances or preservatives.

How To Switch To Natural Deodorant

For some people, switching to a natural deodorant can be scary. They think, “What if I sweat? What if I am stinky?” We’ll, I am here to tell you it is not that hard to switch. I switched to Tom’s of Maine deodorant and I love it. My favorite scent is “wild lavender”.  Switching to a natural option takes a little time for your body to adjust but it is totally doable!

1.  Switch on a low stress day.

Start the switch on a day when you don’t have to work or do anything extremely stressful or extremely strenuous. This way, your body can begin to adjust while you are comfortable and you won’t be worried about the “What if?” You may find that you have a little dampness under your arms but it is no big deal since the Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant  will be working to fight any smells.

2.  Reapply deodorant.

I honestly think that when your body doesn’t get the chance to sweat, it builds up toxins and your first sweat may be more profuse and stinkier than normal.  That is why starting on a day off work is a good idea.  That is also why you shouldn’t give up if your deodorant doesn’t seem up to the task without reapplication the first day.  If you start to feel uncomfortable, just reapply Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant.

3.  Give the switch 3-7 days.

I think the switch will just take you a couple of days but everyone’s body is different.  Trying the new natural Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant for at least 3-7 days, including testing out different scents (or unscented), can help determine the best fit for your unique needs. After all, if your body is used to a conventional product, you might need a little time to adjust to a natural formula free of chemicals and artificial ingredients.

4.  Choose a natural deodorant you trust.

Changing to a natural deodorant is a lot less intimidating when you know you have picked a deodorant that works for countless other people. That’s why I use Tom’s of Maine Long Lasting Natural Deodorant. It is the best-selling natural deodorant and has been for decades. It is clinically proven, 24-hour odor protection using odor-fighting hops and odor-trapping zinc.  Tom’s of Maine is now introducing a new deodorant formula with new and improved scents, and as always, is free of aluminum, artificial fragrances and petrochemicals.

If you aren’t yet familiar with Tom’s of Maine, it is a leading natural personal care brand that makes high quality natural toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, deodorant, bar soap, body wash, body lotion, hand cream, lip balm and baby care products. I also love that Tom’s of Maine products have fully recyclable packaging through your local municipalities or the TerraCycle Tom’s of Maine Natural Care Brigade and there is no animal testing and no animal ingredients in any of their products.  You can like Tom’s of Maine on Facebook to stay up to date with new products, special offers, and giveaways.

I love Tom’s of Maine products for myself and I feel great about sharing these all natural products with my family too.  My kids are just reaching the age where they start using deodorant and it is great to have such a natural product for them. Have you tried Tom’s of Maine Deodorant yet? It is available at Target. Do you think you will take the natural deodorant challenge?

Stay away from those harmful chemicals..Go with Lavilin or some other all-natural product. Safe and lasts several days per use.
