Spring is right around the corner and it is time for spring cleaning! That is why I am happy to partner with Rug Doctor to share their brand new Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner to help make cleaning a whole lot easier. This all-in-one floor cleaner is one machine that can clean the entire home including a mix of sealed hardwood, tile, carpet, area rugs, stone, laminate, furniture, and upholstery. I was provided with a Rug Doctor FlexClean in order to facilitate a Rug Doctor FlexClean review.

Rug Doctor FlexClean All-In-One Floor Cleaner Review

Rug Doctor FlexClean

You are probably familiar with Rug Doctor carpet cleaners. They are well known for their professional grade, rental commercial carpet cleaners as well as their upright carpet cleaners for the home. Now, they have taken their floor cleaning expertise and created the Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner. This means that you can now use their powerful suction to clean a whole lot more than just your carpet! Plus, you can still rely on the excellent deep carpet cleaning.

I tested the Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner on several surfaces. The cleaning jobs were chosen to see how it performed and to see how easy it was to use. I was really curious to see if it really did the job on all those different surfaces.

Rug Doctor FlexClean Assembly

First, I took the Rug Doctor FlexClean out of the box. I have great news- it is almost fully assembled. All I had to do was remove the screw from the handle spot, insert the handle, and put the screw back in. Super easy and you only need a screwdriver to complete this step. A philips is suggested but either will work due to the excellent screw head. It also comes with a 9-oz. Rug Doctor All-In-One Concentrated Floor Cleaner Solution so you can get started cleaning immediately.

How To Use The Rug Doctor Carpet And Floor Cleaner All In One

Getting started cleaning is as simple as filling the clean water chamber with hot tap water and adding the correct amount of cleaner solution concentrates. Then you just chose you nozzle (carpet or hard surface), select 1 of 3 optimized spray rates (hard floors, carpet quick dry, or carpet deep clean), and turn it on. Then, as you run the Rug Doctor over the surface you hold down the trigger to release the water. Let off the trigger and go over the surface several more times to suck up the water.

When you select one of following options, hard floors, carpet quick dry, or carpet deep clean, you in effect picking the perfect flow setting for the job.

For best results use, dual action formula solutions in your multi-floor machine as your whole home cleaning solution.

All In One Floor Cleaner

The Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner comes with two different cleaning nozzles- one for carpet and rugs and one for hard surfaces. There is also an upholstery tool that may be sold separately or as part of a bundle FlexClean All-In-One Specialty Pack.

Seriously impressive results from just one use of the Rug Doctor upholstery tool. Before and After Photo.

Rug Doctor Flex Clean Upholstery Attachment- Before And After

I was super excited to try out the FlexClean upholstery tool. I tested it out on a super old couch in the basement because it is starting to look shabby with some stains on the arm rests. Plus, it just smells dusty. I couldn’t wait to see what the Rug Doctor FlexClean upholstery tool could do for my couch. Word to the wise, remove the little cardboard insert in the tool before you start!

The FlexClean upholstery tool has a trigger so you can release the spray as you glide it over the couch. Then it has a clear front so you can watch as it sucks up the spray and grime and I was amazed at how much grime it was sucking up and collecting in the dirty water tank. I did the arm rest and the cushion as a test and oh my goodness! The Rug Doctor FlexClean extracts dirt and removes stains and odors in a way that nothing else can. It is a bit gross to see what comes out as you clean but it also feels great to know you are getting it really clean. The FlexClean Upholstery and Spot Cleaning tool can be used to deep clean stairs, furniture, auto interiors and other hard-to-reach places.

The Rug Doctor FlexClean On Hardwoods

Next, I tried the Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner on my sealed hardwoods. I used the hard surfaces nozzle and quick dry setting. It works just like any upright cleaner by pushing it across the floor. However, you also pull the trigger to release the cleaner solution. You can see through the clear nozzle that it is sucking the cleaner and dirt back up once you release the trigger.

It got my hardwoods clean. The sticky spots did take a few extra passes to remove. I have to say that when I was done, I did a few swipes with a paper towel over my hardwoods. I like to make sure they dry really quickly, but I do that if I mop too. The advantage over a mop is that you don’t have to keep stopping to wring out the mop or get fresh water. It constantly releases fresh water and sucks up the old so you don’t have to deal with lugging around a bucket of progressively more dirty water either. It works great for hard floor cleaning.

The Rug Doctor FlexClean On Carpets

Then, I tested the Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner on my super old carpet for the ultimate test. Previously, I had used my steam cleaner to clean my carpet. I felt really good about it because it killed any germs but didn’t help with the dust. Every week when I vacuum, I am grossed out by how much dust I get out of my carpet.

I used the Rug Doctor FlexClean after vacuuming first. Well, the Rug Doctor FlexClean really did its job and pulled the dust and grime up out of the carpet in a very disgusting but satisfying way! The dirty water tank was really nasty after cleaning that carpet but it so needed that deep clean. And it felt great to get up all the grossness that even my excellent vacuum cleaner left behind. It makes sense that the EPA recommends an annual deep, wet carpet cleaning to improve air quality inside your home. The Rug Doctor Flex Clean certainly does clean carpet well and this makes sense given its stellar reputation for cleaning carpet.

Rug Doctor Tile Cleaner

The Rug Doctor FlexClean On Tile

Last, I tested the Rug Doctor FlexClean All In One Floor Cleaner on my tile. It is easy to go from one surface to the next. You just switch nozzle if needed, and select the proper spray rate (hard floors, carpet quick dry, or carpet deep clean). It was pretty much the same as doing my hardwoods. I used the squeegee nozzle.

All in all, it was great to see just how much one machine can do! I love how the Rug Doctor FlexClean can clean your entire home – including living room, bedroom, bathrooms, patio, garage, stairs – and can also be used on furniture. The upright cleaner pivots and handles to clean backwards and forwards like a vacuum while eliminating tough dirt, stains, spills, odors and sticky messes. The Rug Doctor FlexClean features revolving brush penetration and deep cleaning suction power to do a job like nothing else can. Very impressive and great for a spring cleaning deep cleaning!

One last thing- I like how the nozzles come off for easy cleaning of the machine before you put it away.

Have you started your spring cleaning yet? Isn’t it exciting to know that one machine can help you deep clean so many surfaces? What is your favorite Rug Doctor FlexClean feature?
