We just got back from a family road trip to Colorado. It is a beautiful state with such a variety of geography from wide open plains to vast mountain ranges to red rocks and mesas. When we added Denver to our list of places to stop, I began researching hotels in the Denver area and I came across the Gaylord Rockies. Immediately, I knew we had to stay there. I was already familiar with Gaylord Opryland and I know they do everything in a fabulous way- from lodging, to food, to entertainment! I was provided with accommodations in order to facilitate my review.

There is a whole indoor pool area and a whole outdoor pool area so that you can enjoy swim time any time of the year. The climate-controlled indoor pool area has two water slides, a pool, a lap pool, a large hot tub, and a splash pad area.
The outdoor pool area has a huge heated pool that features a fun water slide. There are also two large hot tubs (one adult only) and a large lazy river with a rocky grotto, water jets, and bubblers.
Outdoor Private Cabanas are available for rent from May through September. We got a half day rental of a Cabana and I have to say that I felt like a queen while I relaxed in the shade, enjoyed the Rocky Mountains views, watched the Olympics on our private cabana TV, and joined the kids in a few trips around the lazy river. Cabana guests also get a waiter who provides food and beverage service from Arapahoe Springs Bar & Grill. Speaking of places to eat…
