Homemade Stage 2 Baby Food
This homemade stage 2 baby food does a great job at taking two flavors that most babies will be familiar with from stage 1 baby foods, apple and carrot, and introducing them to a new flavor- mango. This is a great flavor combination as well as a healthy combination of veggie and nutritious fruits.
Not only are carrots one of the first solid foods introduced to babies, but it is an important ingredient containing vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. Carrot baby food recipes encourage a healthy relationship with vegetables as well as a nutritious diet for little ones. It is very important to introduce vegetable to the baby palate early and train them to enjoy flavors besides just sweet fruits.
The fruits used here are high in nutrition as well. Apples are high in antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber. Mangos are also a great source of vitamins C and fiber. Additionally, as bbcgoodfood.com points out, they contain folate, B6, iron and a little calcium, zinc and vitamin A and E.
