Clone Trooper Costume With Full Helmet

My little boy likes to play dress up all year round. With Halloween right around the corner, it was an extra good excuse to indulge in in a dress up costume. He loves Star Wars. Last year he was Anakin Skywalker. This year, he will be a Clone Trooper. And I don’t just mean on Halloween, because he is way too excited to wait for that! Additionally, even after Halloween, he will still enjoy dressing up for his imaginative games! We will provide you with a review of a clone trooper costume with full helmet from Costume Discounters.

Clone Trooper Costume Review

We found a wide variety of  Clone Trooper outfits to chose from at Costume Discounters.  My son went with the Clone Wars Advance Recon Fighters (ARF) Trooper Costume which includes a jumpsuit with 3-D molded armor, utility belt and full helmet.   This licensed costume is so similar to the uniforms of the ARF Trooper in the Clone Wars Series that he feels very proud and he loves to run around it in fighting off his imaginary adversaries.

The clone trooper jumpsuit with 3D molded armor is a polyester jumpsuit with “armor” plates on the front side made out of what appears to be a layer of foam.  It looks pretty convincing.  To help you with sizing, we ordered a size Small (4-6) and my five year old son and seven year old daughter fit it perfectly.  My daughter is 47 inches tall and is about as tall as the I think the costume would comfortably fit.  My son is about 45″ tall and weighs about 40 pounds and I think if he was much heavier the costume would be too tight in the arms.

The belt is made out of a rubber portion and a tied cloth portion.  I find that it is really too big for him and hard to tie so that it will stay up but I can manage to tie the rubber part with effort and then it stays fairly well.

The clone trooper costume full helmet is made of a thin plastic and I think it is a very clever design. It actually comes in two pieces that velcro together for easy on and off.  The helmet seems a bit on the big side to me though.  Overall,  I think the costume looks great and he is so excited about it.

The costume was provided by Costume Discounters in the hopes that I would share my honest opinions.  I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own.
