Girl Gotch is another company started by a mom looking for a a product to meet her daughter’s needs and ending up designing it herself! She could not find comfortable panties for her daughter that would stay in place without riding up so she created Girl Gotch underwear in the style of boys underwear but with cute fun girls colors. They come in two styles- brief and boxer!
“Our briefs won’t give a girl grief. Thanks to their clever design, they stay where they’re supposed to stay. There’s no itchy tag, and the waistband is comfortable too. It’s the perfect fit, whether you’re cartwheeling through gym class or just chilling with friends.”
Comfortable Girls Underwear- Girl Gotch Review
My daughter was lucky enough to get to try both the boxer and the brief style. We love them both. The underwear also come in a very nice box with a magnetic closure that she loves and uses for storing random loose odds and ends! The boxer style is great for wearing under her skirts and dresses as they just look like little shorts if her dress should happen to expose her undergarments while she is on the playground. Both the boxer and the brief style are made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex so they stretch and move with your child. They are also a very nice thickness, not too thin or thick. GirlGotch are super cute, comfortable girls underwear- what more could you ask for in girls underwear?
GirlGotch has become Bloom Kids and it is available online or check for retailers in your area. They come in size 2 to size 12. I would say they run a little on the large side (but then my daughter is small.)
GirlGotch did provide these comfortable girls underwear in the hopes that I would share my honest opinions. I received no monetary compensation and the opinions expressed are my own those of my daughter.
How To Choose Underwear For Girls
When choosing underwear for girls, consider the following factors to ensure comfort, fit, and practicality:
- Size and Fit:
- Measure the child’s waist and hips to determine the correct size.
- Check size charts provided by brands, as sizing can vary.
- Ensure the underwear fits snugly but isn’t too tight to avoid discomfort.
- Material:
- Choose breathable fabrics like cotton to prevent irritation and rashes.
- Look for underwear with a bit of stretch (e.g., cotton with spandex) for comfort and movement.
- Style:
- Briefs: Provide full coverage and are suitable for everyday wear.
- Bikinis: Sit lower on the hips and have a more modern cut.
- Boyshorts: Offer more coverage and are comfortable for active girls.
- Elastic and Seams:
Check that the elastic around the waist and leg openings is soft and not too tight.
Look for underwear with flat seams to prevent chafing and irritation.
Avoid synthetic fabrics if the child has sensitive skin or allergies. By taking these factors into account, you can select underwear that will be comfortable, durable, and suitable for the child’s needs and preferences.
