(Serves 1)
Microwave Oatmeal Ingredients
85g milk
43g quick-cook oats
32g raisins or other dried fruit (optional)
2 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
Microwave Oatmeal Directions:
Combine the oats, milk and dried fruit in a microwave safe bowl.
Set the microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir, then continue to microwave until the mixture boils.
Stir the oatmeal after removing from the microwave. Cover and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir in sugar.
Serve hot, and add more milk if required.
Microwave Mashed Potatoes With Bacon and Cheddar
(Serves 2-4)
Loaded Microwave Mashed Potatoes Ingredients
4 baking potatoes, peeled and cubed
120 ml cup sour cream
120 ml cup milk
30g grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped chives
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Loaded Microwave Mashed Potatoes Directions
Put the pieces of potato into a microwave-safe bowl.
Cover bowl with cling film. Make a small hole in the center of the film.
Microwave on high for ten minutes, then let stand for three minutes.
Add all the remaining ingredients.
Mash the potato mixture to the desired consistency. Serve hot, and enjoy.
