Erika Wassall, the Jersey Farm Scribe, here with an incredible Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe.  The concept may blow your mind. I mean, what makes cookies better than shoving more cookies inside of them?!!!  So seriously, let’s not waste any time.

How To Make Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies – So Delicious!

I used about a 13 to 16 oreo cookies. So if you get 16, and you eat one, it’s okay. When cooking with cookies, I’ve learned to make room to snack.  Mash them up. Normally I mash things with the Ziploc bag method- stick them in a bag and mash. No mess! But in this case, too much of the oreo cream got stuck to the bag. I want that goodness in my cookies, not in the trash. Set bowl of broken oreo cookies aside.

So just mash ‘em up with your hands. You won’t want TINY pieces anyway.

crumbles
Could we make cereal out of this somehow????

Then grab a box of cake mix (vanilla, white, yellow butter, whatever), a stick of butter (melty), an egg and some vanilla and beat it into a thick dough.

Add 3 ounces of softened cream cheese, and blend some more.

Then just stir in your oreos, and a handful of chocolate chips. (I like to mix up the sizes, a small handful of tiny chips, a small handful of regular ones). Mix this part in by hand.

It’s a LOT of mix-ins, so go slow. It’ll come together. Then I always have a bite. Yes, there’s egg in there. But for us, they’re from our own chickens, so I’m not concerned. And it’s TOTALLY worth it. This stuff is spoon-able!

dough
YUM!

Then pop the dough in the fridge for 20 minutes, or two hours, whatever. It just needs to be chilled so you can roll it into balls. When you’re ready to go, preheat the oven to 350, and prepare a cookie sheet.

My biggest tip for these cookies is this: This dough won’t spread out much, so you can put them close together. It also means you need to shape the dough how you want the cookies to be shaped. They’ll look the same, just a bit bigger.

I did golf-ball sized cookies and them mashed them down into cookie shapes.

10 minutes total in the oven. That’s it. Take them out. They may seem like they’re not done. They are. Trust me. Let them cool on the sheet a few minutes and them you can stack them.

These Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies are a quick treat that will make everyone happy!
