This DIY Washi Tape Heart Banner is such an easy craft to do that your children can even jump in and help you make it! It’s a perfect decoration for any room of the house and it’s low in cost to make. Always a plus for me! You will need a few simple items that you more than likely already have laying around the house. This DIY Heart Banner Washi Tape Craft takes only a few minutes and is mess free.

Washi Tape Craft Directions For How To Make a DIY Heart Banner

Start by taking your washi tape and tape down 6-7 strip horizontally one on top of the other( or enough strips of tape to cover the height of your heart stencil ). After you have taped down your strips, take your heart stencil and trace a heart onto the washi tape.

After tracing your heart, cut it out with your scissors. Repeat the last 2 steps until you have enough hearts for your banner. I made a 5 heart banner but you can make one a little longer if you would like!

After you have cut all of your hearts out, take your rope( I used white paper rope for my banner ), lay it out, turn your hearts over and tape the back of your hearts to your rope. I spaced my hearts out about 3 inches between each one.

After you have taped all of your hearts down, you’re done! Now you have a DIY Heart Banner! Wasn’t that easy?! I’m planning on making a few to hang up around our house! I love that there are so many washi tape colors available. You can make different colored hearts to match the different colored rooms in your house!
