How To Make Easter Bunny Decorations: Burlap Wall Hangings
This hoop craft is so easy to make and the makes an adorable homemade Easter bunny decoration. Use a fabric marker to trace the embroidery hoop onto the burlap, adding about ½”.
Cut the burlap out and place it inside the hoop. Pull the burlap tight in the hoop and trim off any access fabric.
Next you will cut out the bunny shape from fabric. You can find many templates with a quick internet search for different bunny cutouts or draw one of your own. I drew one of my own using two different size circles and added one pointed ear and one floppy ear. Next, I cut my drawing out on paper then traced around it onto the fabric. Finally, I cut the bunny from the fabric and attached it to the burlap with fabric glue.
I added a yarn pom pom to my Easter bunny decor. Pom poms are easy to make or you can use a premade one if you have some on hand. I attached this to the bunny using hot glue.
To finish off the homemade Easter wall art I tied a bow at the top of the embroidery hoop where the hoop adjustment is. This helps to hide the otherwise not so pretty hardware and makes it easy to hang as DIY Easter wall decor.
Conclusion
The burlap wall hanging is light weight so it’s easy to hang almost anywhere! They also come in many finishes including wood and colorful plastic. Pick one to match your décor or something to match a fun fabric for the bunny! Do you think you will try this Easter Bunny Decor craft project? I’d love to see the results, tag us @familyfocusblog
