Whether fruit roll-ups are healthy depends on how they’re made. Store-bought fruit roll-ups often contain added sugars, artificial flavors, and preservatives, which can make them less healthy despite being marketed as a fruit snack. On the other hand, homemade fruit roll-ups can be a healthier option if you use whole, fresh fruits without added corn syrup, sugar or artificial ingredients.
Homemade fruit roll-ups retain some of the fiber and nutrients from the real fruit, making them a better choice than many prepackaged snacks. However, they are still a concentrated source of natural sugars, so moderation is key.
