Father’s Day is coming up on June 15th this year! I usually have to rack my brain for something to get my husband for Father’s Day. This year, I have some inspiration for outdoor gear gift ideas for dads. Every summer, we take a family camping trip to the Smoky Mountains. I’m going to share with you what outdoor adventure gear came in handy on our last trip and what gear we wished we had.
Outdoor Adventure Gear Gift Ideas
#1 An Awesome Tent
If you don’t have a tent yet, I can tell you it’s worth the investment. Camping is so fun and a nice, large tent helps keep everyone comfortable. We have a pretty large tent that suits me fine, but my husband has been longing for an upgrade, and I am pretty sure he would love the Ozark Trail 16′ x 16′ Instant Cabin Tent. The poles are pre-attached to the tent, and it sets up in under two minutes! He would appreciate the privacy of the internal room dividers and would love relaxing in the shade under the large front awning! It comfortably fits three queen airbeds, which brings me to my next suggestion.
#2 Airbeds
If you don’t have an airbed and you decide to get one, your husband will love you forever. At least, that was the case for me. We LOVE our airbeds when we go camping. It is the only way we pull off week-long camping trips. The Coleman Elevated Queen Airbed with Pump is just perfect for a man that loves camping and comfort!
#3 Jumbo Rolling Cooler
I think it is humongous, but my husband just loves it. He wouldn’t leave for a camping trip without it! The Coleman Xtreme 5 Wheeled 75-Quart Cooler is all that and a bag of chips!
#4 Outdoor Lounging Chairs
My husband likes to get comfortable and so do I. Chairs, such as the Ozark Trail Oversized Mesh Chair, fit my husband’s bill – big, comfortable, and with cup holders!
#5 Grilling Tools
My husband swears by his Weber-Stephen Rapidfire Chimney Starter to get his fires started quickly and easily. Every grill master needs proper tools, and the Mr. Bar-B-Q 18-Piece BBQ Tool Set (with carrying case) will be great for the deck or adventure trips.
#6 Fishing Rods
My husband would love to pick up a new hobby like fishing, but he has to have the right equipment to get started. A good quality rod and reel, with a stocked tackle box, would definitely let my hubby know how much I care.
Father’s Day is an opportunity for your kids (and you) to show Dad and Grandpa that they’re appreciated! What outdoor adventure gear would your man enjoy receiving this Father’s Day? What special Father’s Day traditions do you have?

I miss going camping during the summer time. I would have to have an air bed in order to sleep though, I couldn’t rough it on the ground with my back issues.

All of these are great ideas for Dad for father’s day. Especially if he is the outdoorsy, camper type of guy! My dad would love any of these because not only would it be a gift, it would also be something I could use to spend time with him as well!
